Emboldened by Marshall McLuhan's observation, "the medium is the message," this project explores the history of the Kansas City metro through the monuments, memorials, artwork and architecture that have documented it -- or, in some cases, become its history. Join us as we travel the streets of Kansas City, its suburbs, and surrounding communities putting together a pictorial timeline of history through the efforts our ancestors deemed worthy of remembering.
