American Indian Heritage Day, sometimes referred to as Native American Heritage Day, is celebrated the last Friday in November during Native American Heritage Month, which recognizes Native American Indians and native Alaskans and Hawaiians. Locally, this time provides us with the opportunity to acknowledge and learn more about the culture, traditions, and languages of Native American Indians, both their contributions to our Nation and the impact on their personal and tribal history.

Their collection is one of the largest and best-documented collections of American Indian objects from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
