Missouri Mormon Frontier Foundation, Inc.This collection represents selected works from the Missouri Mormon Frontier Foundation, Inc., established in 1992 and active through 2024. According to its 1992 charter:
As stated in the Bylaws, MMFF was a nonsectarian (nondenominational) entity, whose works, including those collected on this website, may or may not represent the teachings of the Restoration Churches, including The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Background MMFF studied the history of Restoration Churches, tracing their origins to Joseph Smith, Jr. The church established itself in Missouri in 1831 and maintained a presence in the state until the Mormon Wars in late 1838, when the majority of its members were forced to leave Missouri and relocate to Illinois. MMFF's study covered the history of various Restoration Churches, with roots to this time period, including The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly known as the Mormons), Community of Christ (formerly known as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or RLDS), Church of Christ (Temple Lot), Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, among others. It is important to note that the views represented in the archived information may not necessarily reflect the teachings of the individual Restoration Churches.
