Mobile Photo and Document Scanning
Boxes of family pictures that need sharing with kids and grandkids? Or years of business history -- photos, documents, and records -- to be scanned for digital archiving. Winding River Communications provides on-site scanning services using the latest high-speed, high-resolution Epson scanners for photos, documents, and books.
We use the latest Epson scanning equipment including the Epson ES400 Document scanner, FF680W Photo scanner, and the V550 Photo/Document/Slide/Film flatbed scanner.
What items do you scan?
~ Photographs ~ Slides ~ Documents ~ Books
Do you scan and convert video or film?
We do not scan video or film at this time. However, as a convenience to our clients we can assist in making arrangements for video and film scanning with local and online sources.
How much time does it take for you to scan items?
For the safety of your images and documents, we primarily scan at your location. Once items are organized for scanning, the actual scanning is quite fast. However, 'organizing' is critical. We will provide you with instructions on organizing your items for scanning or can assist in sorting your photos and documents before the scanning process begins.
Is high-speed scanning safe for vintage and damaged documents or photographs?
Vintage and damaged documents are carefully reviewed before scanning. If we have concerns about the safety of your material or our scanners, we scan items with a flatbed scanner.
How do we receive our scanned documents?
We can upload scanned images to a Dropbox or Google Drive account where you can download or transfer to your local or online storage. We can also provide the final scans on a thumb drive or CD.
What are your fees?
We charge for the visit to your location and the time organizing and scanning. Most scanning projects are completed in a day and the average charge is less than $200.
